HULL

All hand laminated fibreglass construction with layers of mat and woven roving. The engine bed has a captive steel plate for the securing of engine mounts. The keel consists of a fibreglass section forming part of the hull, suspended from which is external lead ballast of 1,8 tons. This is secured by acid-proof steel bolts with stainless steel internal backing plates.

DECK AND SUPERSTRUCTURE

Deck and superstructure are an one-piece moulding constructed entirely of hand laminated fibreglass. All surfaces including wheelhouse roof have an anti-slip finish. Anchor well in the foredeck. Four heavy duty bollards with adjacent fairleads are employed for safe mooring of the vessel; 2 forward, 2 aft. All windows are of toughened safetyglass suspended in alloy frames. The guard rail is made of solid teak mounted on stainless steel stanchions, pullpit and pushpit of stainless tube. Boarding gates aft and starboard. All external teakwood parts in natural without any treatment.

ENGINE

The engine is a fresh water cooled Yanmar (BSO stage II approved) 3JH3E marine diesel engine, 29,4 kW/40 hp/3800 RPM. Mechanical gearbox, KM3A reduction 2.64:1. Propeller shaft ø 30 mm, bronze propeller 17" × 13". Underwater parts protected against corrosion by means of a zinc anode. The fuel tank, situated under the pilothouse sole, draws 250 litres and it is equipped with a separate manual pump for taking out the dirt. Filling inlet on gunwale. Cruising range approx. 400 nautical miles.

PLUMBING

All through hull fittings below the water line have seacocks. The two deck filled fresh water tanks, situated under the pilothouse sole, hold a total of 440 litres. Filter and selection valve. Pressure system with rubber/pvc hoses. The toilet is supplied with marine pump type head, septictank 87 l (23 gal. UK) and a pumpout fitting on deck. Electric, automatic bilge pump, and a manual one in cockpit. Stainless steel round shaped sink in galley, basin in toilet.

STEERING

Two independent hydraulic units employed in parallel, one for the pilothouse helm and other for the cockpit helm station. Rudder of GRP, rudder stock of acid-proof steel, support of bronze. Emer-gency steering by means of a tiller connectable directly to the rudder stock. The boat can also be equipped with Whitlock mechanical steering in case of navcenter interior. From pilothouse the boat is controlled by an optional autopilot.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

12 V D.C. current system employing 3 heavy duty lead acid batteries, one start battery of 130 Ah and 2 of 180 Ah housed in a ventilated box in the engine room. Master switch and parallel connection relay, 12 V/ 55 A alternator. All circuits protected by automatic fuses. Working lights positioned throughout the vessel where appropriate, including flexible arm chart light and reading lights at all beds and lights in wardrobes. Running lights to international standards. Hand searchlight and horn.

SPAR AND RIGGING

Silver anodised Seldén aluminium mast with internal halyards. The mast is soundproof. Two profiled pairs of spreaders. The boom is equipped with a Rodkick boomvang. The mast is deck stepped with a stainless steel support to the keel. Steaming light, anchor light and deck flood light at the mast. Grounding for lightning.

INTERIOR

Interior construction of satin varnished solid teak and teak faced marine plywood, except the galley and toilet, which are finished in light laminates. Cabin sole of teak faced marine plywood with light wood striping. Large selection of fabrics for curtains and upholstery. Wall-to-wall carpeting in pilot house. Toilet floor with drain. Interior with GRP module.

FORECABIN

Two berths in V-configuration. Shelves, lockers and reading lights by berths. Aluminium framed skylight hatch overhead with vent. Large full-length illuminated wardrobe with shelves.

TOILET

Located by the forecabin. Pressure water, basin and hand shower, marine head with hand pump emptying externally or to septictank. Overhead light, 12 V outlet. Storage behind and underneath the basin. Aluminium framed skylight hatch and Dorade vent. The storage for rainwear.

GALLEY

Galley providing ample laminate counter space. Stainless steel sink. Two burner gimballed gas stove with oven and flame guards. Gas installation: solid copper pipe, flexible hoses to gas bottle and stove. Shut-off valve for stove in the cabinet under the sink. Pressure water system. Top-loaded appr. 100 litre compressor driven coolbox. Extensive cabinetry, drawers and lockers. Cutting board. Trash pail. Drawer for cutlery. Aluminium framed skylight hatch and Dorade vent.

PILOTHOUSE

This area distinguishes a Nauticat from all other vessels. The visibility is free to all directions through the aluminium framed safetyglass windows. From the pilothouse there is a companionway to the cockpit, and passages to owner's cabin and galley. The helm station includes a complete illuminated engine control panel, a depth sounder, a knotmeter/log, a hand searchlight and the signal horn switch. Chart light and overhead light. Storage for charts. Ample locker space on sb side. Large overhead hatches on both sides. Sliding hatch/skylight. The large U-settee in the deck saloon accommodates six persons comfortable for dining or relaxing. Storage under the settee. Overhead lights. Flexible chart light. Space for navigation instruments, radar and electronics on sb side.

OWNER'S CABIN

Roomy and comfortable aft cabin with a double berth. Illuminated wardrobe and an ample storage on stb side. Reading lights and overhead light. One opening port, two fixed windows.
