|
HULL
All hand laminated fibreglass construction with strong hull framing.
Bulkheads are teak faced marine plywood securely bonded to
the hull. External lead ballast of 2,7 tons. Ballast secured to the
hull with acid-proof steel bolts. Draft 1,80 m. Engine bed of fibreglass
with steel inserts.
DECK AND SUPERSTRUCTURE
Deck and superstructure of all hand laminated fibreglass construction.
An anti-slip surface on all surfaces including the wheelhouse
roof. All windows of toughened safetyglass suspended in alloy
frames. Guard rail of solid teak mounted on stainless steel stanchions
around the deck. Boarding gates aft and starboard. Four
solid fairleads and four heavy duty cleats. Pulpit of stainless steel,
teak step between the rails. Superstructure fastened to the hull
with an alloy toe rail, joint made with stainless steel bolts. Anchor
box forward.
ENGINE
Propulsion provided by a Yanmar 4JH4E (BSO stage II approved)
marine diesel 39,7 kW/54 hp/3000 RPM. Mechanical transmission,
reduction 2.14:1. Engine fresh water cooled. Acid-proof steel
shaft, Ø 35 mm, swinging a 17" × 14" bronze propeller. Parts
below waterline protected by corrosion anodes. Fuel tanks located
on both sides of the engine room carry approx. 335 l diesel fuel.
Deck fills and a separate handpump for taking out the dirt. Cruising
range approx. 500 nautical miles. Space for generator in engine
room.
PLUMBING
All through hull fittings below waterline with seacocks. Fresh water
system components include two polyethylene tanks with a total
capacity of 440 litres. Both tanks independently deck filled with
selection valve in galley. Tanks on both sides of the engine room.
A pressure system supplies toilets, galley and shower facilities.
Double stainless steel sink in galley, basins and hand showers in
both toilets. The toilets are supplied with marine pump type heads
and a septictank appr. 90 l (25 gal. UK) with pumpout fitting on
deck. Automatic, electric bilge pump with manual override and
manual bilge pump in the cockpit.
STEERING
Two independent steering systems are employed in parallel. At
cockpit helm station there is a Capillano hydraulic steering with
turnover rate of two turns lock to lock. At the inside helm position
a similar system is used with turnover rate of 3-6 turns lock to
lock. Rudder of fibreglass, rudder stock of acidproof steel, support
bearings of bronze. Emergency steering by way of a tiller connected
directly to the rudder stock.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Boat's service by way of a 12 V D.C. system employing 3 heavy
duty lead acid batteries of 2 × 180 Ah and 1 × 135 Ah, housed in a
ventilated box in the engine room. A master switch for start and
service battery. The charging system employs a 12 V/80 A alternator
with relay for parallel connection during engine-running.
Individual functions controlled by switch panel. Working lights
positioned throughout the vessel where appropriate, including
flexible arm chart light and reading lights at berths. All wardrobes
have lights. Running lights to international standards.
SPARS AND RIGGING
Sloop rig with silver anodised main mast and boom. Internal halyards.
The mast is sound-proof. Boom equipped with Rodkick
boomvang. The mast has double spreader configuration. Mast is
deck stepped with stainless steel support to keel. Slab reefing
with internal reef lines. Steaming light, anchor light and deck flood
light on the mast.

INTERIOR
Interior construction of satin varnished solid teak and teak faced
marine plywood, except the galley and toilets, which are finished
in light laminates. Cabin sole of teak faced marine plywood with
light wood striping and varnished finish. Wall-to-wall carpeting in
pilothouse. A selection of fabrics for curtains and upholstery
available as standard. Floor drain in toilets.
FORECABIN
Two berths in V-configuration. Large full-length illuminated hanging
locker with shelf in the rear. Storage under berths. Aluminium
framed skylight hatch overhead to provide light and ventilation to
this area. Reading lights and shelves over berths. 12 V outlet.
FORWARD TOILET
Located by the fwd cabin. Pressure water, basin, marine pump
type head and handshower. Inside the door on the ceiling, there is
a curtain rail of aluminium. Ceiling light. Storage behind and underneath
of basin. Finished in light laminate, lower part fibreglass
modules. Overhead hatch.
AFT TOILET
In spacious aft head pressure water, basin and handshower. The
toilet is supplied with marine pump type head, Inside the door on
the ceiling, there is a curtain rail of aluminium. Ceiling light. Mirror.
Opening port. Finished in light laminate, lower part fibreglass
modules.
GALLEY
Straight galley providing ample laminate faced counter space.
Double stainless steel sinks. Two burner gimballed gas stove with
oven and flame guards. Gas installation; solid copper pipe, flexible
to gas bottle and stove. Shut off valve in the cabinet under the
sink. Pressure water system. A top-loading cool box, 100 l, driven
by 12 V compressor. Extensive cabinetry, drawers and lockers.
Cutting board. Drawer for cutlery. Trash pail. Translucent opening
hatch and a Dorade vent to provide light and ventilation to this
area.
PILOTHOUSE/DECK SALOON
This area distinguishes a Nauticat from all other vessels. The
visibility is unimpaired to all directions through the aluminium
framed safetyglass windows. From pilothouse companionway to
cockpit and steps, which lead down to aft stateroom. Teak table
with aluminium legs, drawer for charts. Ample storage on starboard
side. Engine function instruments and navigation equipment
mounted conveniently in a contoured panel. Above the helm a
translucent, adjustable hatch. Switchboard including fuses and
switch for signal horn. Chart light and overhead light. All instruments
are illuminated for night use. Access to the engine room
through the pilothouse sole. The large raised U-shaped settee
accommodates six persons comfortably for dining or relaxing.
Storage under the settee. Overhead adjustable hatch with alloy
frame and overhead light. Space for autopilot, radar and other
electronics on starboard side of the pilothouse. Wardrope on
starboard side.
OWNER'S STATEROOM
This space is dominated by a double bunk on port side, a settee
on starboard side and a large lighted wardrobe. Drawers. Storage
under the berth. Two windows in aft, three opening ports on sides.
Reading lights and an overhead light. Door to aft toilet. 12 V outlet.
